Castles of Sand — Privacy Policy

Castles of Sand ("the game") is made by gcat. This policy covers the Android version of the game distributed through Google Play.

The short version

The game does not collect, store on any server, or share any personal data. It does not need an internet connection and does not ask for the internet permission.

What the game stores

• Game progress (castles cleared, starfish, buckets bought, shells found, best scores, which tips you have seen) and settings (music and sound on or off) are saved in a file on your device only. This file never leaves your device and we cannot see it.

What the game does not do

• No accounts or sign-in.
• No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
• No analytics, tracking or crash reporting services.
• No in-game chat. Octo, the octopus guide, only shows tips written into the game.
• No access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or files.
• No sale or sharing of data with anyone, because no data is collected.

Sharing your castle

When you tap Share on a castle, the game makes a picture of it and hands it, with a short line of text, to the app you pick in your phone's share menu. Nothing is sent unless you choose an app, and the game itself sends it nowhere.

Links to other sites

Settings has links to our pages on Instagram, itch.io and Discord. Opening one takes you out of the game to that site or app, which has its own privacy policy and minimum age. The game sends them nothing.

Children

The game is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the game, or clearing its storage in your device's settings, deletes your saved progress and settings permanently.

Google Play

Google Play may collect information about downloads and your device under Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. The game itself adds nothing to that.

Changes to this policy

If the game ever starts handling data differently, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.

Castles of Sand — Política de privacidad

Castles of Sand ("el juego") es creado por gcat. Esta política aplica a la versión de Android del juego distribuida en Google Play.

En resumen

El juego no recopila, no guarda en servidores ni comparte datos personales. No necesita conexión a internet y no pide el permiso de internet.

Qué guarda el juego

• El progreso (castillos superados, estrellas de mar, baldes comprados, conchas encontradas, mejores puntajes, consejos ya vistos) y los ajustes (música y sonido) se guardan en un archivo solo en tu dispositivo. Ese archivo nunca sale de tu dispositivo y no podemos verlo.

Qué no hace el juego

• No tiene cuentas ni inicio de sesión.
• No tiene publicidad ni identificadores publicitarios.
• No usa servicios de analítica, seguimiento ni reporte de errores.
• No tiene chat. Octo, el pulpo guía, solo muestra consejos escritos dentro del juego.
• No accede a tus contactos, ubicación, cámara, micrófono, fotos ni archivos.
• No vende ni comparte datos con nadie, porque no recopila ninguno.

Compartir tu castillo

Al tocar Compartir en un castillo, el juego hace una imagen de él y se la pasa, con una línea de texto, a la app que elijas en el menú de compartir de tu teléfono. No se envía nada si no eliges una app, y el juego por sí mismo no lo envía a ningún lado.

Links a otros sitios

En Ajustes hay links a nuestras páginas en Instagram, itch.io y Discord. Al abrir uno sales del juego hacia ese sitio o app, que tiene su propia política de privacidad y su propia edad mínima. El juego no les envía nada.

Niños y niñas

El juego es apto para todas las edades. Como no recopila datos personales de nadie, tampoco los recopila de menores.

Borrar tus datos

Desinstalar el juego, o borrar su almacenamiento desde los ajustes del dispositivo, elimina tu progreso y tus ajustes de forma permanente.

Google Play

Google Play puede recopilar información sobre descargas y tu dispositivo según su propia política de privacidad: https://policies.google.com/privacy. El juego no agrega nada a eso.

Cambios a esta política

Si el juego cambia la forma en que trata los datos, esta política se actualizará antes de publicar esa versión, y cambiará la fecha de vigencia.
