Sublime Itch

Sublime Itch is a small desktop app for writing itch.io devlogs in Markdown written on rust and typescript using the tauri framework. You write Markdown on one panel and see a preview on the other, roughly as itch will show it. When your devlog is finished, with just one button you can copy the produced HTML to paste directly into the itch editor or use the upload to itch function to automatically send the text to an existing post or create a new one.

It exists because itch’s own editor is fine for short entries but for long devlogs it can become a headache: formatting drifts, pasted images land in odd places, and there’s no way to keep a draft anywhere but on itch. Here, every devlog is a plain text file on your computer, kept in a library next to the other devlogs of the same game or tool.

It runs on Linux and Windows, maybe MacOS if enough people ask for it. The download is on its itch.io page, and problems or ideas go to the issue tracker.

These pages cover using it. If you’ve never opened it, start with Getting started.
